The Women's Full Moon dance circle is a group of magnificent women that gather once a month on the Saturday closest to the Full Moon to reconnect with body and spirit in sacred space (and then we eat!). It is a highlight of the month for many of us.
It is a place to move from the inside out. To nurture your soul. To simply be you. Nobody judges what you look like. We dance to all kinds of music (world beat, trance, African, Celtic, Middle eastern, rock, gospel and more). If it shakes your bones, opens your heart and lifts your spirit, that's what we want. We make noise, laugh, cry, howl, sing, sit in stillness – it's all life and it's all welcome.
And after a few minutes when the tension loosens, we find that life is moving us – joyfully, openly, surprisingly! Whether you dance wildly or just sit and take it in, you are completely welcome.
If you'd like to receive the beautiful invitations to these dances, email Sylvia.

Who puts the Moon Dances together?
The Divine Feminine manifests in infinite ways and we appreciate the depth and variety that happens when we create this sacred space as a community. Since our beginning on the Winter Solstice of 2002, the monthly dances are hosted by a core group of participants and organized by Sylvia.
In creating this dance together, we all share the gifts of it.

Now sweet one, be wise, Cast all your votes for dancing.

How can you help?
Take a look at the calendar and choose where you'd like to add your energy, then check in with your creativity to see how it wants to express. Feel free to call me with any ideas or questions. email or call Sylvia at 486-8444. We'd love to have your unique energy in the mix.
Here's a good lunar calendar for reference.
What inspires you to dance?
You might feel inspired to lead and share your creativity, sometimes you want to help and sometimes you just want to show up and receive. It's all good and there are enough of us that we can share the energy of putting it together without it being too much for any of us (I also think that's why we've been able to keep the group vital and growing into the 7th year).
What does it take to host the Moon Dance?
A handful of hours with help.
1. Confirm the date with Sylvia (all of this year's dates have been tenatively scheduled with Red Lotus and just need to be confirmed).
2. Decide on the feel/intention or special activities for the dance (or not)
3. Send invitation text and/or pictures to Sylvia to send the email invitation at least a week ahead
4. Choose the music and burn 2 CDs (we usually have 1 1/2 hours of music)
5. Come early and set up the space
6. "Hold" sacred space and lead any special experiences/rituals
7. Break down and clean up.
* I'm happy to help with all these things!
So if YOU imagine a magical place where women gather and dance themselves into bliss, what would it be like? Let's make it happen!

Thank you again for inviting me to last night's dancing. I had a BLAST! And what a group of beautiful, beautiful women. Dancing with goddesses. It doesn't get any better. And my body must have really loved it because I didn't feel any after effects today.
Love to you,
Patricia
